At last a loss!!!
Well after staying the same last week, I finally lost a decent amount this week 2.1/2lbs yehhh!!
I only register whole lbs so another 2 and I have lost a stone.
This is my aim for next week!!
I am now beginning to feel the benefits in my clothes.
I have put this weeks loss down to some homemade soups which a nice and filling.
Here is one of my favourites.
Butternut Squash,Red Pepper and Cream Cheese
Chop 1 large onion and fry with fry light until soft.
Chop a butternut squash and 1 red pepper and add to the onion with a litre of vegetable stock (I always use Swiss vegetable bouillon). Simmer until squash is cooked.
Blend the soup with 100g of light soft cheese and return to the pan add 150mls skimmed mild and season usually just pepper as the bouillon is quite salty.
This makes 4 portions and is delicious with a WW part baked roll
Soup 1 point and the roll 1.1/2 points.

Wii Fit Madness!!
Well I have been bitten by the Wii fit bug!!! but didn't seem to be progressing very well.
Then I realized today after 7 days of using it that I had the board the wrong way round!!!! dohh not to thick then... I felt sure that the light that comes on the board would need to be facing towards the telly....seems not!!!
One bit of good news I am not as old as it first thought I was... I am now obese with an age of 65!! funny how that sounds better when in fact it is awful!!
Hope to have better news on Tuesday although I did have a rather nice Valentines meal last night from the M&S 2 4 £20 range.
Thanks for looking.

Well we received our Wii fit yesterday so we have been getting to grips with it this morning!!
I have a Wii fit age of 75!! and I am obese tell me something I don't know.
One ray of light though... hubby who thinks he is super fit and of course has the perfect BMI still has a wii fit age of 75... and I beat him on a couple of the first tests on certain types of exercise.Ohh how he hates it he loves to be first at everything!! I don't have a competitive bone in my body.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks for looking Sue :o)
It has come to my attention today that nobody can leave comments I am not sure why this is as I have comments enabled if anyone can give my any idea why this might be I would be very grateful. x

Weigh in night
I am a bit disappointed tonight I stayed the same (I actually lost half a pound) I don't count this it has to be a least one pound for it to count!!!
Still 9 lbs in 4 weeks that's not bad just have to stay on the straight and narrow. I am going to classes with my son's girlfriend Becci and we have lost exactly the same amount of weight in the 4 weeks we have been going but on different weeks.. Becci actually put on a pound one week and was terribly disappointed but kept going.
Got a few good tips tonight seems I might not be drinking enough water should aim for at least 1 litre a day preferably 2.. I can't do that I will be sat on the loo all day!!
Another thing I have porridge for breakfast every morning so I must try and have some protein at least two mornings a week maybe scrambled egg or beans.
Here's to another week of FAT FIGHTING.
I will be back with another recipe later in the week.

2009 is the year !!
I have been invited to a wedding on 4th September in London and I want to wear a nice outfit.
I am also going to Paris for the hen party on 14th August, it is my best friend Pat who's daughter is getting married... I have know her since the day she was born 34 yrs ago. I am so chuffed she has asked me to go with them to Paris.. I am really looking forward to a girly weekend and I want to wear some nice clothes.
I embarked on this diet on 6th January after being ill over Christmas with no appetite, I didn't want to start eating all the wrong things again!!
Lots of you will know me from my other blog slumber cards.. I know lots of you are also on the same journey so I thought I would start this blog to share any tips and recipe's with you.
I have lost 9lbs so far.. I weigh in on a Tuesday so I will let you know how I get on tomorrow.
I am going to share this recipe for sausage and butterbean hotpot tonight which I have just had for my tea this evening and is delicious
8 Large half fat sausages 400g
Low fat cooking spray
2 red papers, de-seeded and chopped
2 carrots peeled and chopped
1 400g can of chopped tomatoes with herbs and garlic
1 198g sweetcorn drained
1 400g butterbeans drained
2 Vegetable stock cubes ( I use 2 heaped tsp of Swiss vegetable bullion)
Grill the sausages until they are browned on all sides.
When cool enough to handle slice into bite size pieces
Spay a large lidded pan with low fat cooking spay and fry the peppers and carrots for 4-5 mins
Add the tomatoes, butterbeans, stock cubes with the sausages add 16floz water.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 25mins until carrots are tender
I remove the lid for 5-7 minutes towards the end to thicken the sauce.
For any of you doing weightwatchers this makes 4 serving at 3.5 points per serving and for anyone else who is interested approx 257 cals per portion
Hope you enjoy
